One dead, four injured in drive-by shooting on city's south side

Five injured in drive by shooting

SAN ANTONIO – A woman is dead and four others are injured after a drive-by shooting on the city’s south side.

It happened just before two Sunday morning in the 2600 block of Flores Street near Harris Middle School.

Police said four men and the one woman were hanging outside a bar when a small sedan pulled up and the passengers started shooting at them.

The shooters then drove off to the west.

When officers arrived they found three victims at the location.  While searching the area police found the fourth victim in the ditch. Officers were later notified that the fifth victim was down the street after he ran off.

The woman was rushed to SAMC in critical condition where she later died. The four men were sent to University Hospital where three were in stable condition and one in critical condition.

Police are still looking for the suspects who drove off. The motive has not been determined at this time.

Anybody with any information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 224-STOP. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for any information that leads to an arrest in this case.
