SAN ANTONIO - Hemisfair Park was mostly returned to its pre-party condition Monday morning after the massive New Year’s Eve Celebration.
The city’s celebration was bigger than ever to mark the beginning of the S.A. 300 Tricentennial year, with two stages of music and a fireworks show.
The cleanup got underway as soon as the crowds started leaving. Crew members say many people left before the fireworks began, making it easy to get crowds out of the park.
As soon as most of the party-goers were gone, crew members bagged up trash and took down barricades.
By around 6:00 a.m. Monday morning, the park was mostly restored to its original condition.
