Duo tries to buy blankets with fake money, robs south-side store

SAN ANTONIO – Police are asking the public’s help in identifying the two men who robbed a south-side store.

The incident happened on April 28 when the duo entered the Princess Store in the 900 block of S.E. Military Drive.

Police said the owner was cleaning when the pair walked in trying to sell a cell phone. When the owner declined, the suspects then attempted to buy two blankets with counterfeit money.

When the owner did not accept the fake cash, one suspect pulled out a knife, according to police.

The two then fled with the stolen blankets.

If you know the identity of these two men, you’re asked to call Crime Stoppers at 224-STOP. You may earn up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
