SAPD: Drunk driver plows car through downtown building

A drunk driver hit a building on the 1100 block of N St Marys and Brooklyn in downtown San Antonio.

SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Police department said a drunk driver plowed his car into a downtown building early Sunday morning.

The accident happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the 1100 block of North St. Mary’s Street.

The building is the newest location for the fabric store Arrow Upholstery, that’s still under construction 

It now has a car-sized hole in it.

The young male, whose name has yet to be released, was arrested after failing an on-site sobriety test.

No injuries were reported.
