Bikers for Christ visit S.A. missions to celebrate Easter

SAN ANTONIO - Mission San Juan was the setting for a non-traditional Easter observance Saturday morning.

The rumble of big exhaust pipes filled the air as the Bikers for Christ motorcycle ministry organization staged a rally, stopping to pray at all the local missions.

One man said motorcycles and faith are a good fit because bikers can relate to how Jesus was treated.

"We are stopping at each one of the San Antonio Missions on the Mission Trail and we're presenting a message of Jesus Christ and the Passover Week from Jesus triumphal entry into the city, to his resurrection from Calvary," Jay Perry from Bikers for Christ said.

The group stages lots of different kinds of events all year long, they said, to support one another on the road of faith and service.
