BCSO seeking suspects who fired at officer in chase

HILL COUNTRY VILLAGE, Texas – The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office released dashboard footage showing a Hill Country Village police officer chasing a vehicle before it crashed and the suspects fled.

BCSO released the video hoping to gain information on the three suspects who shot at a Hill Country Village police officer back in October of 2016.

The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. on October 2, 2016 in the 14000 block of San Pedro Avenue when a HCV officer noticed a multicolored Chevrolet Suburban leaving a parking lot Milwaukee Tools.

According to BCSO, there had been burglaries in the area prior, so the officer attempted to conduct a suspicious vehicle stop.

After the officer turned on his emergency lights, the driver of the Suburban sped off and refused to stop. After a short chase, the SUV crashed into a tree near the intersection of San Pedro Ave. and Tammy Drive.

After the crash, three men got out of the vehicle. In the video, you can see one man fired shots at the police officer, striking his patrol vehicle causing damage to the hood and windshield.

The three suspects were able to escape on foot.
