Baby in hot car death identified

The Helotes Police Department released the name of the baby that died after being left in a hot car for several hours on Friday: 7-month-old Dillon Martinez.

Helotes police say that Martinez was in the car when his father drove to work at the Wal-Mart near Bandera and Loop 1604 on Friday morning. Around 3 p.m., the baby was found dead inside the car.

The father told police that he forgot to drop the baby off at daycare.

Still no word on whether police will press any charges.
