Sherman Animal Care Complex rehabs small wild animals in San Antonio

Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation just opened the new Sherman Animal Care Complex for wild animal rehab.

Thursday was the grand opening of the new Sherman Animal Care Complex.

The facility offered free tours to the public to show off its 7,000 square-foot space that takes in and cares for small wild animals for rehabilitation.

Other amenities in the complex make it easier for the staff to tend to the animals and the public.

Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and release native wildlife and provide sanctuary, individualized care, and a voice for animals in need.

Since 1977, the WRR has rescued and rehabilitated over 250,000 animals.

KENS 5 photojournalist Clifford Goyang got a first-look at the new complex located at 1354 Basse Road.
