SAN ANTONIO - WARNING: Graphic image below
A woman was investigating a noise in her front yard when she discovered a cat pierced through the upper body with an arrow.
The woman discovered the cat in a neighborhood off of Valley Hi Drive on the city’s west side Sunday afternoon.
The orange tabby, who investigators learned was named Maggie, was rushed to an Animal Care Services partner clinic for emergency treatment. Sadly, the cat had to be humanely euthanized due to her injuries, according to an ACS press release.
Maggie was microchipped and her listed owner indicated she was re-homed when the family moved out of the state, according to ACS. Witnesses in the area did recall seeing the cat roam the area.
Anyone with information on the person or persons who injured Maggie is asked to call 3-1-1 and ask to speak with the ACS Cruelty Investigations Unit. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
