Oral arguments took place Tuesday in a freedom-of-speech case involving the City of San Antonio.
The International Woman's Day planning committee and the San Antonio Free Speech Coalition are suing the city over a new marching ordinance.
The law allows the city to charge groups who want to march in public streets.
A judge dismissed the case, prompting the groups to appeal the decision. The case is now in the hands of an appellate court in New Orleans.
