Police say the daughter of Cassandra Watkins became worried on Monday when she realized she hadn't heard from her mom since noon on Saturday. The daughter called the management of the apartment complex where Watkins lived, in the 7200 block of Blanco.
Watkins was found -- face down in a pool of her own blood.
Police say there were several items missing from the apartment giving further indication that foul play was involved. Police believe Wakins may have been suffocated with a pillow.
Watkins was 39 years old.
Police say the man who occasionally lived with her is a person of interest in this case.
