A legally blind woman tragically died after being pulled out of a pool by good Samaritans over the weekend.
49-year-old Gailann Weaver went in the pool with her 6-year-old nephew Saturday in the 2500 block of Babcock Road.
Officials say she went too far in the deep end and could not get out.
Her nephew ran for help and good Samaritans came to the rescue, pulling her from the pool and administering CPR.
Weaver was taken to University Hospital where she later died.
Family members say Weaver had some health issues and they believe she may have had a seizure that contributed to her death.
The family is thankful for everyone's heroic efforts.
