UPDATE: SAPD releases names of victim and suspect in this case.

SAN ANTONIO -- Police say they are contemplating murder charges for a woman who claimed she ran over a man in self-defense.

Officers received a call for shots being fired in the 300 block of Bellinger.

When they arrived at the scene they learned about an argument between Sherman Lee Jonier and Jillian Johnson that began at around 11:30 Saturday night.

But later, Johnson  told authorities she got behind the wheel of her car and ran over Jonier.

She reportedly placed the call from her home about two miles away on Charcliff Drive.

Jonier was taken to SAMMC where he later died.

Investigators say they haven't found anything yet to back-up Johnson's story of self-defense.
