The community has come together, pouring out support for a 9-year-old boy who continues to face an uphill battle.
Cade Cox has been suffering from epileptic seizures since he was only 5-years-old. He is about to undergo his third major brain surgery.
On August 11 dozens of people showed their support for Cade at the Bulverde Amphitheater benefit, raising more than $60,000.
"We believe that God does not give us trials and tribulations without giving us the tools to deal with those," said Cade's mom, Melanie Cox. "And the tools that God has given us in this situation is He gave us a huge support group of family and friends and the community. And the response was overwhelming."
Cade's surgery is scheduled for August 27.
