Jury selection was set to begin Monday morning in the capital murder trial of a man accused in a deadly purse-snatching.
Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for Lorenzo Leroy Thompson, who is accused of killing Air Force member Vanessa Pitts back in 2010.
Pitts was traveling through San Antonio when a man tried to steal her purse from the front seat of her car while she was pumping gas on Highway 90.
Pitts jumped on the running board of the suspect's pickup and was killed when the truck crashed into another car.
