SAN ANTONIO -- Three suspects have been arrested in connected to an illegal gambling operation on the city's west side.

According to San Antonio police arrest affidavits. 66-year old Olga Rodriguez and her husband, 67-year old Refugio Rodriquez, operated a gambling ring out of a storage shed on their property in the 2400 block of El Jardin.

Investigators said the couple had 14 video gambling machines inside the makeshift casino.

The machine were owned by 45-year-old Shamsuddin Momin, who allegedly paid the couple $700 dollars to rent the shed starting in May.

Court documents also showed that several alleged employees said they paid out cash to clients on numerous occasions. One alleged employee told police she paid out as much as $400 to one person.

All three suspects were arrested Wednesday and face numerous gambling charges.

Each have been booked in the Bexar County Jail on $5,000 bonds.

Three other alleged employees were named in the arrest affidavits but have yet to be arrested.
