SAN ANTONIO -- A San Antonio man is being accused of using a phony modeling company as a way to collect child pornography.
Authorities allege that Gemase Lee Simmons pressured an underage girl into into sending him nude pictures in hopes of becoming a model.
Simmons has also been in the national spotlight in the past for trying to scam aspiring models. An online search reveals he was the center of a nationally televised report that accused of Simmons of scamming young girls in 2008 into thinking they would be a reality TV star.
The FBI said Simmons was back at it, this time at this a north-side apartment complex across the street from a Northside Independent School District middle school.
A Feb. 14 detention hearing has been set for Simmons, who allegedly claimed to be producing a reality show. Records show he has a 2008 auto theft conviction and is on probation.
"I had no clue," said Simmons' neighbor. "I talked to the guy before. He seemed nice. I guess that's the way it goes."
The FBI is urging any other possible victims to come forward by calling (210)225-6741.
Simmons attorney Robert Gebbia has declined comment to the Associated Press.
