SAN ANTONIO -- It's time to buy tickets for the upcoming San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. But with the rodeo just days away, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office wants ticket buyers to be extra cautious when purchasing online.

It started online with a number of rodeo tickets.

"I can tell you that they were actually stolen," said Det. Louis Antu of the Bexar County Sheriff's Office.

He said they were stolen and then resold for face value, each bearing the owner's name: David Biesebach.

"It's gonna be a quick scam but that's unfortunate," Antu said.

Unfortunate, but not surprising.

"We have folks out there that are doing this and we want to put a stop to this almost immediately," Antu said.

A team of investigators is working to track down the culprit. They also want to warn potential rodeo goers.

"If they show up with a David Biesebach ticket, those tickets have been deactivated and they'll be turned away at the door," Antu said.

Best rule of thumb: Do your homework before buying things online.

"You got to be careful when you are on any websites and you're purchasing anything," Antu said.

If you purchased tickets bearing the name David Biesebach, please call the Bexar County Sheriff's office at (210) 335-6067.
