SAN ANTONIO – Firefighters were called to the women's annex of the Bexar County Jail Friday shortly after 8 p.m. The jail is located downtown at 200 North Comal Street.
No evacuations were necessary, but inmates had to be moved to a different section of the jail.
No one was injured.
The cause of the smoke is unknown.
