SEGUIN -- The prospects of finding a missing tuber alive seems grim, according to the Seguin Fire Department.
Fire officials said the call for a drowning on the Guadalupe River came in just before 6 p.m. Sunday.
Rescue crews arrived to five people near FM 1117 who needed rescued from deep water in that area.
A shift commander for the SFD said four of the distressed tubers were rescued but a fifth person, a man in his mid-30s, was not found before it became too dark for search crews.
The search for the missing man resumes Monday morning at 8 a.m.
Firefighters were not immediately sure what went wrong during the float trip.
