SLIDESHOW: Hey there cowboy, that's one fine lookin' mustache

ABOVE: Tommy Worrell, of Springs Branch, was demonstrating at the rodeo how to make ropes with a 105-year-old rope making machine. He was also displaying his mustache. "Since gosh, 1961. I did 'The Alamo' with John Wayne and everyone had a beard or mustache back then."
You know what would go well with that cowboy hat?
There are plenty of cowboys at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. There are also plenty of people who just look like cowboys. Even those who have never been in the saddle before can pull off a genuine Wyatt Earp with a pair of boots, a bolo tie, a stiff collar shirt, a weathered trench coat and a hard look.
But perhaps the most iconic cowboy look of all can't be bought in the store. And in some cases, as we found out, takes a lifetime to achieve. Nothing says rodeo like a well grown mustache.
Check out some of the mustachioed gentlemen we found at the rodeo on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012.
