Not a cloud in the sky, a comfortable breeze and temperatures in the mid-80s -- what a beautiful October day to go for a bike ride... or a jog, or a stroll, or skate, or climb, or Zumba, or anything outside!
Judging by the turnout, San Antonio's first-ever Síclovía was a success. City officials estimated nearly 15,000 turned out for the event. Síclovía allowed residents "to play in the street" as the city shut down Broadway from Parland all the way south to McCullough - about two miles - from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The open road beckoned thousands to pick up their bikes, lace up their shoes and enjoy the beautiful weather with their friends, families, furry companions and fellow San Antonians.
It's amazing how much good a little playtime can do.
