SAN ANTONIO - A local man is on the run after police said he held up a store clerk at gunpoint. Now investigators are releasing new information in hopes of catching the suspect.

The crime that happened on August 24 was captured on surveillance video. SAPD is releasing a photo taken from the video.

"He is 5 foot, 5 inches, 170 pounds, 25 to 35 years old," said Sgt. Javier Salazar with the San Antonio Police Dept. "He had a full beard the night of the robbery but he was wearing a red shirt, a red bandanna on his head and a black bandanna on his face."

He was also armed with a black handgun revolver, Salazar said.

The suspect allegedly walked into the Walgreens in the 3300 block of Fredericksburg Road, pointed the gun at the clerk and demanded money.

Chopper 5 HD was at the scene on August 24 while police searched the area. But the suspect was nowhere to be found.

"His demeanor on the night of the robbery seemed confident, quite demanding, so it seemed that this wasn't his first time," said Salazar.

SAPD is hoping someone may be able to identify the suspect.

If you have any information call Crime Stoppers at 210-224-STOP. If your tip leads to an arrest, you may be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
