San Antonio police are searching for the driver and passenger who were in a grey Ford pickup truck that they say hit and killed a man crossing Walzem Road on Tuesday night.
The driver "didn't see the pedestrian, hit him, stopped momentarily to check on him and then fled southbound," SAPD Sgt. William Rohn said.
The accident happened around 7:30 p.m. Witnesses said the truck bad been turning left out of a nearby HEB parking lot.
The victim has not been identified but was described as a Hispanic male in his 60s.
Police did not have the full license plate for the Ford truck, but witnesses provided a partial plate of "T68."
Rohn said the driver and passenger likely will face charges of hit and run as well as failure to stop and render aid.
The accident shut down southbound Walzem Road for hours. Northbound Walzem Road was limited to one lane.
