SAPD searching for suspect in hit-and-run accident at VIA stop

The San Antonio Police Department is searching for a suspect believed to have been involved in a hit and run on Feb. 24.

Police say on that day, a dark blue GMC Jimmy struck a pedestrian standing at a bus stop on the corner of East Southcross and Riverside Drive. Witnesses told police that the driver fled the scene without stopping to render aid to the victim.

A VIA bus security cameras captured the image above of the vehicle fleeing the scene.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 224-STOP.
