Authorities are trying to identify the driver of a pickup truck who was killed late Sunday night after hitting an 18-wheeler head-on.
The accident happened near the Moursund exit on Loop 410 West.
Investigators said the driver of a Toyota Tundra was going the wrong way on the highway.
The driver was heading eastbound in a westbound lane when he sideswiped a Dodge pickup and then slammed into an 18-wheeler, killing the Toyota Tundra driver.
The accident caused two other cars to slam into the back of the the big rig. The driver of the big rig was not injured.
Two men in the Dodge pickup were taken to Southwest General with minor injuries.
Police have not released the name of the victim, and it's not clear whether alcohol was a factor in the crash.
Emergency crews worked through the night to clean up the area as the morning rush hour approached Monday. The scene has been cleared, police said.
