San Antonio police have arrested a suspect in a recent home invasion that targeted thousands of dollars in jewelry and other items.

A north San Antonio woman and her disabled husband were held at gunpoint during the Jan. 10 attack, police said.

According to an arrest warrant, the woman saw a vehicle parked near her driveway. She went into her home and there was a knock on the door.

Police said two suspects barged into the victims' home in the 400 block of Country Lane. One of them allegedly wore a mask like one from the movie "Scream."  The other suspect reportedly wore reading glasses.

The woman tried to fend them off but fell to the floor, according to the warrant. The victim was held at gunpoint on her living room floor until the suspects had raided the house for valuables, investigators said.

The arrest document indicates that the men took $100,000 in jewelry, two shotguns and other items. The  woman told police the jewelry was unique, and some of it had been handed down by her mother.

According to the warrant, as the alleged thieves made their getaway, one of the victims' neighbors was able to copy down a partial license plate number.

The path to finding suspects heated up when SAPD got an anonymous call providing details of the home invasion.

Hector Bernal, 23, reportedly told someone about the crime, and that person told police.

Bernal is charged with aggravated robbery. He remained in the Bexar County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond Monday.

Police said they also got a huge clue from Bernal's girlfriend. According to the warrant, she was wearing some of the stolen jewelry.

Officers said they saw it when they went to her home for a family violence call.

There is no word on the arrest of a second suspect.
