SAN ANTONIO -- Residents at a north-side apartment complex were woken by an out of control car that slammed into the side of the building early Sunday morning.
San Antonio police said the driver of a Ford Explorer crashed while turning out of an apartment complex in the 12200 block of Vance Jackson around 2:15 a.m.
The vehicle hit a light pole, spun around, jumped multiple curbs and then crashed into one of the apartment buildings, police said.
The driver, however, had left the scene of the accident by the time police arrived.
San Antonio Water System workers were called to repair a minor water main break.
Only minor damage was caused to the building.
