Police are asking for assistance in finding the gunman in a shooting on the city's west side after an alleged drug deal.
They're looking for the person who shot a man in the leg at 1604 and NW Military Sunday afternoon.
As they were leaving, shots rang out and one of the three men was shot in the leg as he was sitting in the passenger seat of a car.
Investigators say the three drove off to the west side of town and eventually stopped at a convenience store at Highway 151 and Potranco Road, nearly 20 miles from where the drug deal was supposed to have happened.
The man who was shot went inside the store and called for help.
Police and EMS arrived and treated the man and took him to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the suspected shooter was described by the three men and is still on the loose.
