SAN ANTONIO -- In the 6800 block of Pecan Valley the San Antonio Fire Department worked feverishly to squelch a fire at a southeast-side apartment complex Thursday morning. Five fire units were dispatched to the Spanish Spur Apartments at around 11:15 a.m. where flames quickly spread from one unit to the attic.
Residents from one building were evacuated as a precaution. No one was reported injured in the blaze that authorities say may have started in the kitchen of a second-floor unit of Building 4.
