According to police, a woman stepped into the road, and was hit by an 18-wheeler on the city's northeast side.
It happened around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday on the I-35 access road near Fischer Road.
The impact threw her into another lane where she was hit several more times.
The driver of the 18-wheeler stopped and is not expected to face charges.
