He is celebrated every year, especially by the Irish, but just who was St. Patrick?

He was a 4th Century priest, who worked to convert the people of Ireland to Christianity . But did you know he wasn't even Irish?

In his honor the San Antonio River went green Saturday.

Seventy pounds of environmentally-friendly green dye was dumped into the river. After a touch of the Emerald Isle hit the banks, visitors were treated to Irish fold music on their barge tours.

The San Antonio River is one of only three in the world that go green every year. The other tow are the Chicago River and the River Liffey in Dublin.
