Police have arrested 22-year-old Luis Miguel Trevino, the man who is accused of assaulting an elderly couple during a plot he cooked up with their granddaughter to fake her kidnapping.
Teresa and Trevino planned to runaway together according to investigators.
Police say Trevino busted into the Astorga's home armed with a knife, and pretended to kidnap 19-year-old Teresa Astorga.
What the suspects didn't count on was Astorga's grandparents fighting back.
Both grandparents ended up with injuries as reported last week.
Trevino is charged with aggravated kidnapping, robbery and assault.
Teresa Astorga is also facing charges.
