A man was shot in the groin around 1:30 p.m. Saturday, in what police say has all the markings of a drug deal gone wrong.

At the Landmark Apartments near Babcock and Wurzbach near the Medical Center, three men were inside a car when two of the men got into an argument.

Investigators say the driver pulled out a gun when the two passengers tried to take the car. The driver then allegedly fired off a round, hitting one of the passengers.

The victim was taken to University Hospital and is in stable condition.

So far he is not cooperating with investigators.

The other two men took off running and police have been unable to find them.
