SAN ANTONIO -- Police say a man went to purchase a soda before punching the clerk in the face and grabbing the cash register at a northeast-side store.
The clerk at the CVS in the 5500 block of Walzem Road was attacked while ringing up the alleged customer around 11:30 p.m Thursday, San Antonio police said.
During the struggle, the the register fell on the ground and the suspect grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash and ran away.
The clerk suffered only minor bumps and bruises, police said.
Nobody was arrested as of Friday morning.
