SAN ANTONIO -- Two more people are under arrest after being accused of dumping grease into a local creek.
Police say Ivan Garcia and Janet Morquecho dumped thousands of gallons of restaurant grease into Huebner Creek while working as truck drivers for A&F Industrial Services.
That creek leads to the Dos Rios Water Recycling Center.
Federal agents arrested five other A&F employees earlier this week.
Despite the arrests, San Antonio Water System (SAWS) says the bulk of grease put into the sewer system comes from civilians.
They say grease accounts for two-thirds of the sewer blockages and overflows in San Antonio every year.
When grease builds up in a line it can completely clog the system, causing water outages and plenty of work to replace blocked lines.
SAWS recommends putting grease into a bottle and putting it in the trash or better yet, taking it to a recycling center.
Either way, make sure it doesn't go down the drain.
