Perry appoints San Antonio's Hope Andrade to post on Texas Workforce Commission

Former Texas Secretary of State Esperanza "Hope" Andrade has been appointed to another state position.

Andrade, who is from San Antonio, resigned her position of secretary of state in November after four and a half years on the job.

On Thursday Governor Rick Perry appointed her to a Texas Workforce Commission post that runs through 2015.

One the Texas Senate confirms the appointment, Andrade will replace Commissioner Tom Pauken who resigned the position.

Andrade attended both Our Lady of the Lake University and the University of Texas at San Antonio.
