They always dreamed of being on the show. Some of the 'American Idol' hopefuls drove hours upon hours for about 22 seconds in front of the judges. For many, it's a long and sad ride back home.
Most of the contestants walked out of the auditions after hearing, "Sorry, you're just not what we're looking for." Few, however, got the green light for a second round of auditions. If they pass the second round, only then will they get to sing for celebrity judges Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson.
