SAN ANTONIO -- A new study shows that San Antonians are either very romantic or they just really like going out to eat.
OpenTable ranked San Antonio as the number one city in its 25 Most Romantic Cities in the United States.
According to the online reservations service, the romance level was calculated with three variables:
- Percentage of restaurants rated “romantic” according to OpenTable diner reviews
- Percentage of tables seated for two
- Percentage of people who dined out for Valentine’s Day last year
Being the tourist hot spot that it is, San Antonio surely has plenty of restaurants to choose from. OpenTable provides a small list of romantic restaurants -- as voted by users -- to consider this Valentines Day.

San Antonians may also consider making the short trip to Austin, which came in at number two. Other Texas cities on the list include Houston at number 10; and Dallas at number 11.
