SAN ANTONIO -- A 31-year-old man has been charged with online solicitation of a minor. San Antonio Police said he arranged to meet with an underage girl for sex.
Police said Jason Bartowiak showed up at a convenience store Wednesday afternoon to meet a 15-year-old girl he'd met online.
"At some point during the relationship, he arranged to meet with this female for sex, knowing that she was a 15-year-old female," said Sgt. Javier Salazar of the San Antonio Police Department. "The meet spot was determined, he came to the location and was met instead by undercover vice detectives."
If convicted, Bartowiak could face two to 20 years in prison. Bexar County records indicate this is his first run-in with the law.
