SAN ANTONIO -- According to August's housing statistics, the number of sales went down in July by about 25 percent compared to this same time last year.
"It's because it's this time of the month. Normally, the summer months are our busy months but because of the with the homebuyers tax credit, a lot of people came in during that month of April and pushed our buyers we'd normally have in the summer months into the month of April, said the chief executive officer of the San Antonio Board of Realtors, Angela Shields.
Shields explains the figures in an interview with KENS 5's Barry Davis.
