San Antonio's office of Emergency Management is getting ready to launch a new and enhanced alert system.
City leaders, along with fire chief Charles Hood, and police chief William McManus, will unveil a new emergency alert system today.
Dispatchers will now be able to send important messages to San Antonian’s cell phones and e-mail addresses.
Only those who register will receive the alerts.
