BEXAR COUNTY - A mother and father have been arrested for allegedly locking up their son.
Neighbors, who wished to remain anonymous, said the 21-year-old son has unspecified mental disabilities and has been looked up like a prisoner inside his house.
Authorities arrested Veronica and Mario Salazar at their house in the 800 block of Mallow on Thursday evening.
A woman, who identified herself as a relative, answered the door at the suspects' home and quickly answered questions about the son.
"He's pretty well taken care of," she said. "I don't have anything to say."
One neighbor said she can see inside the suspects' home from her bedroom window. She also said she sees people entering and leaving the home through an open window.
The victim was taken to an area hospital for a mental evaluation. Authorities said he would then be turned over to adult protective services.
