Medina County residents caught in flood waters

Medina County -- Flood waters forced officials to close several roads in Medina County Wednesday evening.

Some roads saw up to 4-feet of water. Residents tell KENS 5 the water began rising around 6:15pm and before long hundreds of people were stranded in their neighborhoods and flooded homes.

Firefighters were sent out to rescue several individuals between Natalia and Devine.

Meanwhile, Natalia ISD officials say all schools will be closed on Thursday as a result of the floods.
