The San Antonio community showed an outpouring of support for a family that lost two children killed by a suspect fleeing from police.
Friends of the Maspero family held a barbeque fundraiser to help cover some of the family's expenses.
"It could have been anybody's kids. It could have been mine," said one supporter. "Life is fleeting, and the idea that we have plenty of time, is not really true. It could be taken away in an instant - and in this case it was babies."
The event was held at Southern Angels Daycare.
