SAN ANTONIO -- A fight outside the XX Bar on the city's northeast-side escalated when shots were fired and a man was struck several times.
The man is in critical condition at SAMMC and police said the victim is believed to have been attempting to break up the fight.
Authorities said a fight over a female broke out between two men inside the bar in the 2800 block of NE Loop 410. The fight moved outside and that's when the victim, who was a mutual friend of the two men, tried to calm things down.
During the fight, an unidentified red car pulled up along side the fight, police said, and opened fire, striking the attempted peacemaker multiple times.
At this time, police have made no arrests in the shooting and are still looking for suspects.
