Bexar County commissioners have increased the livable wage for employees by more than a dollar.

The new wage is at $11.08 per hour. That's previous wage was $9.75.

The livable wage is generally what companies are required to pay workers before they can receive tax breaks.

We're told when the tax break guidelines are reviewed later this year, the livable wage in those guidelines will be brought up to match the new amount.
