KERRVILLE -- A three-month investigation led Kerrville Police to a large seizure of drugs, guns and counterfeit currency Thursday.
“The sheer amount of it would lead someone to believe they’re turning around and selling it,” said Sergeant Mary Krebs of the Kerrville Police Department.
Krebs said it’s not unusual to come across people in possession of drugs in Kerrville, but the warrant executed at a trailer in the 500 block of Town Creek would turn up a much larger than usual drug bust.
“We did find quite a bit of methamphetamines,” Krebs said. “If you were to take a gallon sized ziplock bag, I would say it was more than half full.”
Aside from the $12,000 worth of meth, police said they also found 60 milligrams of Morphine, 4,145 milligrams of Oxycodone, a .22 caliber revolver, a .410 caliber shotgun and several thousand in fake currency.
“Some of it (cash) that was actually still in the process of being made which led us to believe it was counterfeit,” Krebs said.
Police arrested Mandi Branham, 28, Allan Crider, 33 and Damon Kazaprzak, 21.
Krebs said they each face various charges, but said it should send a message.
“We want to make sure the stuff (drugs) doesn’t hit the kids in the middle school, or high school and we’re diligent," Krebs said. "We’re looking to get the drugs off the streets in Kerrville."
