The jury has turned in a verdict in the case of a local man accused of sexually assaulting a child. Early Thursday evening the jury found Anthony Maldonado Jr. guilty of 12 counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child.
Investigators said Maldonado, who is legally blind, repeatedly sexually abused a child.
Maldonado has been taken into custody and will be sentenced by a judge within the next few weeks.
According to Bexar County records, in 1986 the 51-year-old was sentenced to 7 years in prison for sexual assault of a child.
