SAN ANTONIO -- The family of a housekeeper who fell to her death in a downtown hotel elevator shaft has filed a wrongful death lawsuit.
According to police, 65-year-old Gloria Rodriguez fell six stories at the Crockett Hotel on Dec. 28.
Her family wonders how such an accident could have occurred and has hired Houston-based lawyer Jim Hada.
"There are claims of negligence on the part of the hotel owner," Hada said. "What steps could have been done differently? If anything, the family's goal now is to get answers."
